CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE contains Celecoxib which belongs to group of medicines called Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is used in adults to manage osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), rheumatoid arthritis (inflammatory disease of joints), ankylosing spondylitis (chronic back pain), acute pain and primary dysmenorrhea (menstrual cramps).

CELEBREX 200MG CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Celecoxib, sulfonamides, aspirin and/or other NSAIDs. Objective:To assess the efficacy of celecoxib versus Celebrex alone and in combination with PGE(2), and compare it with an NSAID such as ibuprofen, ibuprofen plus paracetamol, and naproxen.
Methods:We conducted a double-blind randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multicenter, parallel group study of celecoxib or Celebrex plus PGE(2) in patients with colorectal cancer, and assessed efficacy with regard to the primary end point.
Results:Patients were randomized to receive a single dose of celecoxib, 200 mg, plus 600 mg, or naproxen, or placebo for 8 weeks. The primary endpoint was the primary end point, which was defined as the rate of time to gastrointestinal symptoms at week 8 after initiation of celecoxib or celebrex.
